Kameo: Elements Of Power review: As a launch title for the Xbox 360, it’s possible to look at Kameo: Elements of Power in two ways. If you’ve never heard of the game before, recently bought a 360 (lucky!) and are looking for a fine fantasy adventure that shows off what the system can do, you’ll be amazed and impressed at the sheer power on display. If however, you’re one of those jaded skeptics who’s been following this title since it was originally planned for the Nintendo 64, shifted to the Game Cube, moved over to the Xbox and finally completed for the 360, you might be more impressed with the exceptional visuals more than the combo-happy gameplay and Kameo’s transformation abilities. After playing through the game three times, I’m still caught somewhere in the middle between loving and loathing the overall experience. While the game is technically wondrous and a visual masterpiece, it really doesn’t bring anything new to the table if you stack it up against other titles in the same genre. Still, Rare has made a fortune tinkering with familiarity while upping technical quality, so the game can be considered smashing in at least that right.

Kameo: Elements Of Power review: I for one am delighted that Microsoft purchased Rare and although it has been a few years in the making, Kameo was absolutely worth the wait. Regardless of gaming tastes, every Xbox 360 owner should have a copy of this taking its rightful place in the beginnings of their collection.

Kameo: Elements Of Power review: Kameo is a great game whose journey catches your attention throughout its entirety. In classic Rare fashion, there are a few nods to Nintendo thrown in there but it’s nice to see that the developer hasn’t lost its touch to make remarkable games.-- Jose Liz &
