Hitman: Blood Money review: Blending thoughtful tactics with spontaneous actions that dynamically change with the current situation and plenty of moments of adrenalized, butt-clinching suspense, Blood Money is in a league (and genre) all its own. Whether you live in a white house of suburbia or the White House in D.C., no target is beyond the reach of Agent 47.

Hitman: Blood Money review: That kind of thing tends to breed controversy. That ignores the point that in order to complete the game properly -- and earn as many achievement points as possible -- you should only be eliminating your targets, something that is possible on every level of the game -- but it's undoubtedly going to be a sticking point for many.Click here to discuss this review

Hitman: Blood Money review: Some may say it’s the best in the series so far, some may argue. For my part, though, I thought it was fun to play and still is fun to play through again and again. It’s a refreshing alternative to all the first/third person shooters out there.

Hitman: Blood Money review: The soundtrack is once again composed by Jesper Kid’s appropriately grim yet exciting tunes. All in all, it’s hard to complain about the audio.Hitman: Blood Money doesn’t radically change the Hitman formula but it does provide enough wrinkles and nuances to keep the solid gameplay fresh. It’s quite satisfying to orchestrate a giant surprise to fall on an unsuspecting target.

Hitman: Blood Money review: When assassins from Agent 47's contract agency, The ICA, are systematically eliminated in a series of hits, it seems a larger, more powerful agency has entered the fray. For Agent 47 it's business as usual, until suddenly he loses contact with The ICA. Sensing that he may be the next target, he travels to America, where he prepares to make a killing.

Hitman: Blood Money review: The A.I. and stiff difficulty inflict surprising flesh wounds, but, apart that aside, Hitman: Blood Money strides gracefully from the shadows, pumps a single suppressed 9mm round between the eyes of an unsuspecting genre and slips silently back into the prevailing darkness.

Hitman: Blood Money review: While this sort of play definitely requires some patience (such as when I had to spend 10 minutes sitting in a closet), the payoff is definitely worth it. You can crush your enemies with chandeliers, blow them up with their own BBQ grills, and even cause them to fall into a shark tank.

Hitman: Blood Money review: While the underlying stealth action is mostly unchanged from the previous Hitman games, a diverse sequence of imaginative scenarios gives Blood Money its own fair share of violent thrills.
