GUN review:
All that aside, GUN is a solid game on any platform and a lot of fun to boot. It's the best Western shooter to come out in a long time and it offers gameplay that offers a lot of variety while making the actual gameplay mechanics easy to understand and use. If you like western themed shooters like Dead Man's Hand and Red Dead Revolver then you should make GUN your next purchase.

Neversoft will have to make a more focused effort with their next non-boarding title, as their GUN only fires blanks.

GUN review:
GUN may be short-lived, but I love my westerns and it has a quality story and lots of enjoyable blood-soaked gameplay. It’s a more traditional and authentic tale than Red Dead Revolver’s wild, weird west, and allows a lot more freedom too – it’s just a shame that the play area isn’t even bigger and there isn’t more to do when you tire of shooting stuff (and you will).

GUN review:
It's disappointing to be sure, because when you get right down to it, this could be an absolutely excellent game. With better graphics and a tad longer story this game might have been a contender game of the year in some category or another. As it stands though, Gun is a fun game and you really should try it out even if only as a rental. -- Nik Dunn

GUN review:
Gun may not showcase the true power of the Xbox 360, it is still one slick open-ended shooter that does justice to the Western theme.

GUN review:
Set in the untamed West of the late 1800s, Gun is a free-roaming action-adventure game that takes players to a world without laws where greed, lust and murder are rampant.

GUN review:
Compounded by an overly linear approach and some dire sub-missions, Gun never quite lives up to its promise. Its arrival on 360 does literally nothing to change that - and although it wins out in terms of having the sharpest visuals and Gamerscore features, neither of these additions can remotely justify the inflated price tag.

And when you wrap up all those elements with a film-worthy cast of actors and soundtrack, you easily have one of the best genre titles of the holiday season and a must-own game for action and western lovers alike.

GUN review:
+ Superb gameplay that really makes you feel like a cowboy, thanks to familiar scenarios and the excellent Quick Draw option. Gotta love the knife, too.+ Horseback riding has never been better. Neversoft nails the essentials.+ The 360 version does benefit from better visuals that other versions, including some terrific lighting effects.

GUN review:
On the Xbox 360, this short Old West action adventure feels old all right. And its fairly fun shooting action is dragged down by a slapdash presentation.

GUN review:
Thankfully, Gun features a substantial range of side-missions, including the ability to work at a cattle ranch, protect the denizens of the towns as a deputy, or help the local Indians hunt for specific animals like the Great White Buffalo. In a nice touch, failing a mission will simply force you to restart from the last checkpoint, rather than having to backtrack to redo it.
