Crackdown review:
The often-copied GTA gameplay style has been given a new leash of life with character leveling and a truly superb online play.

Crackdown review:
A game by ex-GTA staff with that infamous Halo 3 beta test invite, Crackdown arrives with an awful lot of baggage attached. Is it good enough to hold its own though? Gareth brings us the word from the mean streets.

Crackdown review:
In my mind though, Crackdown manages to get away with it, perhaps because of the way it has put a spin on an already existing game concept. I suspect that in 7 months time as I run around the GTA4 city I'll be looking up at the rooftops thinking 'my Crackdown agent could've clambered up there'.

Crackdown review:
Crackdown is certainly a good game and recommended for fans of sandbox style games, but unfortunately, the limited singleplayer mode and sparse side modes keep the game from being a must-buy for everyone. Oh, and remember, it does come with an invitation to the Halo 3 beta.

Crackdown review:
Juggling corpses, vehicular acrobatics, and rampaging are factored in. My favorite is to shoot and kill five gang members in a single jump while airborne. The experience basically boils down to the Incredible Hulk thrashing about in a kiddy pool. You have so much power and potential, but it’s set in a shallow frame.

Crackdown review:
In the case of Crackdown, that's not so easy. It combines the vast environments of GTA, the quick, the satisfying combat of great action games, a vertical dimension of game play and the character progression of RPGs in a very entertaining and unique package. The content is strictly for adults, but otherwise, it's a slam dunk. -- Ernie Halal

Crackdown review:
Crackdown creates an exciting open world and gives you a lot of interesting abilities, but there isn't enough main-game content to truly take advantage of the game's strengths.
