Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: Ubisoft provides a glimpse of things may come for the flight sim genre, but sadly misses the mark with this unpolished title that just needed more time in the studio.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: As long as you don’t go into this thinking it’s a flight-sim you won’t be disappointed. Blazing Angels controls and plays great, offering some intense arcade thrills and looks fantastic while doing it. The campaign missions serve as a great tutorial for the countless hours you will likely be spending online with this game.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: Blazing Angels' developers had some lofty ideas but, when the time came to get it out the door, Ubisoft apparently had to get rid of a few things and rushed a few others.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: The game modes are not deep enough to keep you going forever, but they're nice for an hour every now and then.Overall, Blazing Angels isn't a bad game. It's not great, and it's very debatable as to whether it deserves the £10 premium for the 360 version over the Xbox version, but it's definitely worth consideration (maybe a rental) for those spoiling for a dogfight.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: With genuinely appalling voicework setting the tone for development incompetence, it's compounded by a few dreadful levels, camera issues and the feeling that the whole project was ported onto the 360 as an afterthought. All told, Blazing Angels is not a game you'll feel too happy about parting a lot of cash for.

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII review: One guy helps you repair your plane mid-mission (it's essentially a button-pressing minigame), another will take the heat off you by taunting your foes, while the third will attack whatever you've got targeted. Unfortunately, you won't really need to use anything other than the "heal" command, since you can effectively take out entire squadrons by yourself.
