Zathura review:
But, it is rushed, cheap looking, repetitive and gets old fast, and for the price it’s not worth it. Had there of been an in-game tutorial and more pointers, or indeed a more active script, the game would probably run along nicely because it has some nice platform challenges, but unfortunately it tends to repeat what was confusing at first, in a hope you’ll enjoy it fifth time around.

So, unless the subject matter and/or overall presentation are personally offensive, I really hate to knock on these smaller developers too much. So, while the developers of Zathura tried hard to make a solid movie-to-game conversion, when it comes down to brass tacks the game just isn’t all that good.

While the movie wasn't quite original, the game didn't fare all that well either, bogged down by lame characters, uninspired gameplay and dull visuals.
