It’d have been nice to see things turned up a notch for what should have been a fun sequel, but you’ll be best served by avoiding this game completely. Maybe I’d be a bit more forgiving of this game if it also managed to maintain the original’s $20 price point, but I can’t see any reason to pay full price for this poorly rehashed shooter. -- Dustin Chadwell

Eventually you'll end up shooting the same old enemies with the same old weapons while hearing the same old sound-effects. True, this does happen in pretty much every FPS, but here it's somewhat more obvious. Don't ask us why - it just is.

You have to allow for the fact that Serious Sam 2 is a budget game, but unfortunately it plays like one too – treat it as the gaming equivalent of a quick takeaway burger and you won’t go far wrong – it’s just a shame they forgot the fries and the large Coke to go with it.
