Rallisport Challenge 2 preview:
Unlike, say, CMR04, the consequences of such rough handling don't really amount to much, with the performance seemingly unaffected, and certainly not carried forward to later races within the same stage - certainly on Amateur mode. We've yet to fully explore whether damaging your car has consequences on the latter difficulty levels, but thus far it appears not.

It's a shame to only have the chance to race against three other humans with a solid car, but 16 players with wireframe ghosts still delivers that same sense of tension, so it’s not a major issue - you just can't actually crash into them, that's the only difference.

Rallisport Challenge 2 review:
If there’s a third installment, I hope that DICE works on enhancing the Live play and making the controls even tighter. Barring the slight audio and Live issues, I have no qualms with RC 2. There is so much done right that it’s easy to pick out the few, small problems that don’t really hamper things.
