In the near future, modern civilization lies in ruin, with the land crawling with monsters and the air filled with particles called Phantom Dust. It's up to you to fight through the monsters and discover the cause of the Phantom Dust.
Phantom Dust review:
Phantom Dust does a very good job of creating an interesting story in a very stylish world, and its budget price is likely to be another draw for gamers looking for something new and unusual. It has some issues, to be sure, but the combat can be quite engaging and most of its strengths outweigh its few flaws. Spawn-camping aside, it is one of the most interesting titles to come out this year.
Phantom Dust review:
99 and $49.99 games available that don’t hold a candle to the marginally interesting single player story and endless skill building replay-ability Phantom Dust offers. Second, I can only recommend this as a solid blind buy and perfect addition for any ManRoom collection. You’ve never experienced this tossed salad of gaming styles and owe it to yourself to take a big juicy bite.
Phantom Dust review:
Phantom Dust is an anime-inspired game set in a post-apocalyptic era where chaos has forced people underground for safety. Players must journey above ground in a quest to learn who and what was behind the destruction, but the surface is a place of deadly evil filled with unimaginable abominations. It is also home to mysterious particles known only as Phantom Dust, a force unlike any other that has given some members of the human race unimaginable super powers.
Phantom Dust review:
Phantom Dust is a difficult one to classify; its gameplay consists of a series of frenetic, short battles in various arenas, not unlike a fighting game. These battles are structured around an uncommonly detailed sci-fi plot. On top of that is the collectible “skill” element, which is why so many people compare it with those collectible card games that still frighten me.
Phantom Dust review:
If the title featured a bit more voice acting, a bit less reading, a more engaging story and more realistic movement and animation, it would have been scored higher. Still, with regard to quality and cost, Phantom Dust deserves at least a gander.
