Outlaw Tennis review:
It’s all the more disappointing considering that the normally hilarious Steven Colbert from The Daily Show does the voiceovers. If you’re a fan of the series, Outlaw Tennis might just be the game you’re looking for. However, if it’s top quality tennis you seek, there are better options on both PS2 and Xbox.

Outlaw Tennis review:
One such match is the hot potato mode, which involves players volleying the ball back and forth between each other. During the gameplay a meter fills up on the screen and once this meter reaches the top the ball will explode and unfortunately the player who is on the side of the court that the ball exploded on will lose ...

Outlaw Tennis review:
It has tons of options, character customization and some halfway decent puns and sarcasm. Besides having a steep learning curve and jokes that get old quickly, I can’t find any real fault with this particular game. Like I said before, this game has convinced me of how fun a tennis game can be, so it can’t be that terrible now can it. -- Nik Dunn

Developer Hypnotix continues the Outlaw franchise with a solid tennis gameplay and online support at a budget price, albeit laced with the sometimes crude humor.

Outlaw Tennis review:
What are enjoyable, though, are the training modes. They're pitched at a well-judged difficulty level, the content is daft without being insulting, and they almost convinced us that we have a reasonable level of control over our silly little tennis players. Until we played a match again.

Outlaw Tennis review:
In the grand tradition of extreme sports games, Outlaw Tennis packs in more than enough toilet humour. Typically, the game suffers from it and the game isn't up to much, as Chris found out.

Outlaw Tennis review:
The best news is that Outlaw Tennis is, at its core, a fantastic tennis game, so when you eventually turn off all the “outlaw flavor” you still have a remarkably fun, challenging, and somewhat realistic tennis game to occupy countless gaming hours, both solo and online. And for only $20, you’ll feel like an Outlaw when you add this to your Xbox library.

Outlaw Tennis review:
If you like your tennis games of an altogether more serious nature and are already very happy with the likes of Top Spin, thank you, then Outlaw Tennis probably won't do a lot for you. But if you fancy something a little bit different that's highly playable and costs less than twenty quid, this one's well worth a purchase.

Outlaw Tennis review:
Its only problems are that even with all the funky game modes and sub games it offers, Tennis is basically a matter of hitting a ball backwards and forwards across a net until one of you screws up, and though the tour mode is addictive, for this couch sportsman tennis gets ‘old’ quite quickly.

Outlaw Tennis review:
The Outlaw series has been on the verge of something great since its inception, and it seems like the game could easily achieve greatness were it not for the chronic compulsion to be all Jerry Springer. If you can get past that, though, Outlaw Tennis is a great value--from both a single-player and a multiplayer perspective--and it introduces some genuinely unique spins on the sport of tennis.
