 Otogi: Myth Of Demons review:
If you are reading this then you probably don't have a copy of the game and you might want to start hunting one down as most of the game stores that I know of only got 2-3 copies of the game. Even EBGames.com has Otogi on backorder. All in all, I have been extremely happy with Otogi and the $39.99 retail price is a nice change from the $50 we are used to paying.

Otogi: Myth Of Demons review:
Though some may find it repetitive, the challenge of keeping yourself alive from level to level is simply exciting and fun. A graphic wonder, an acoustic delight and a simply control scheme work in its favor. The camera, however, can really cause some cheap deaths, so the game is not without flaws. In the end, though, Otogi is a thrilling adventure and one that should not be missed.

There’s even a harder mode (2nd Play)that opens up after you complete the game that allows you start over with allyour current weapons and statistics. I haven’t had this much fun with a combatengine since the original Buffy game. I certainly hope the sequel comes to theU.S. because this is one series I will be interested in following up on.

You’ll appreciate the references to Japanese folklore and its feudal style. Otherwise, playing Otogi will be a crossroads experience- you’ll either be smitten by the perils of a mystic samurai life and eagerly spend the $40 or you’ll simply appreciate its surprising style and be happy it was only a rental.
