Narc review:
The game plays like GTA minus the car-jacking. You run around an open, crowded city going from mission to mission or busting random criminals. The game attempts to play with morality by allowing you to be as good or bad as you want, but good deeds are few and boring, and bad deeds are never repaid with any karmic reckoning.

NARC may become a new Grand Theft Auto at it’s current rate, and knowing Midway’s habit of making great games in small packages, I doubt NARC will fall short of any expectations.
Narc review:
Arcade games are coming back in a big way, due mostly to society’s growing need for retro-infused relics that they otherwise would’ve never cared about. Sega has put out a handful of collections that cover most of their biggest arcade hits, along with Capcom, Namco, and assorted others. Frankly, if the game company existed from early ‘80s to the mid ‘90s, there is a collection out for them. Probably the most high profile of these collections are the Midway Arcade Treasures franchise, which brings back those fond memories of yesteryear for those of us who weren’t playing Pong when it first came out. Instead of taking the same route with their famed NARC franchise, they decided to hand the project over to VIS Entertainment and offer up a next-gen update to the tried-and-true formula. Sadly, VIS and Midway chalk up a miss with their first game of 2005. While the game does offer some mediocre fun, it grows tiresome like any of VIS’s other games (also see: State of Emergency).
Narc review:
+ A great collection of songs, from the likes of Cypress Hill to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Decent voicework, too, even if the dialogue's hokey cop junk.+ The ability to use drugs to enhance your performance is a brave idea that works, most of the time.+ $20 price tag.+/- Most of the gameplay works, but distance shooting and aiming can become a real hassle.+/- Graphics are serviceable, but hardly next gen.
