If you have an Xbox and you Love golf its looking like another great XSN sports title that’s worthy to be added to the already excellent line. With Xbox Live and superior graphics it does just pip Tiger Woods 2004 on the XBox, and thats the only other contender thats close.

Xbox Live and system link are both smooth and a lot of funto play.All in all I was very impressed with Links 2004 and feel thatit is a game that all players should try – it may even turn you onto the golfgenre. If you are having a tough time choosing between Links 2004 and TigerWoods 2004, my vote is with Links 2004. See you on the green!

From the bunker.Then again I did say it was mostly Tiger's depth of content and presentation that excited me. Sadly, the rest of the reason I prefer Tiger is that it feels smoother and more precise to play. Which is amazing given the fluffiness of some of the putting in Tiger, and the camera's apparent refusal to balance the game by giving everyone the same view of the ball in flight...

Hardcore Links fans may well feel that the crashing guitars and bullet-time ball effects are a little over the top, but when you sink that 30ft putt to take a close match by one shot, the swooshing sound effects and cheesy shampoo rock are well justified. All in all, Links 2004 is a solid experience that is more user-friendly and more enjoyable than EA’s equivalent.

The replayability on this game is also good, especially since it is Live enabled. On the negative side of things, the graphics and sound in this game are below standards. So, if you enjoy a good game of golf, and don’t care about annoying or repetitive sounds and sub-perfect graphics then you should definitely head out now to purchase your own copy of Links 2004.
