Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude for Xbox, rating: 69%
Capturing the outrageous style of the long-running adventure series, the next Leisure Suit Larry follows Larry Lovage, nephew of Larry Laffer, and his adventures at Community College.
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude review:
A humorous pseudo-adventure game where you follow the boobies (these are attached to women), play tons of minigames, and try to convince yourself that this is just as good as the original Leisure Suit Larry games from the late 80s and 90s. Then you give up and go digging through your old floppy disk pile. Unless of course you were BORN in the late 80s, in which case you just continue questing for more boobies.
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude review:
However, viewed as an experience to partake in there’s a lot going on in Larry’s world that is worth exploring. Give it a rent, grab some good beer, and knock this game in a single night. The more buzzed you are, the more laughs you’ll experience.
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude review:
But be warned, it’s all mini-games that get quite boring and repetitive VERY quickly. I would however say that when the game makes it to the bargain bin, it would be worth smacking down $15-$20 for the humor alone.
Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude review:
There is fun to be had in spades but almost certainly, this is a game that you'll probably put down half way through when you get bored of the repetition, promising to return to it later. The only difference between this and all of the other titles this will happen to, is that you probably will come back to this one, if only for a chuckle.
