Half-Life 2 review:
A dark, gritty sci-fi shooter that builds a lot of steam but never delivers quite as much as you hope it will.

Half-Life 2 review:
There are a few frame rate issues and the odd blurry texture or two, which would have (probably) been eliminated with the 360's power, though once Microsoft release the emulation patch you'll be able to play it on Xbox 360 in higher resolution anyway.

We know the Xbox is a big old thing, but how did Valve squeeze its epic first-person adventure into there?

Half-Life 2 review:
While we'd agree that many of the criticisms levelled at Valve's epic are completely valid, the broader context is that missing out on the opportunity to play Half-Life 2 would be a dereliction of duty to buy and play the very best games around; only this time you can get Steam-ed up about it for all the right reasons.

Half-Life 2 review:
+ Contains the awesome PC single player adventure in its entirety. + Graphics aren't as impressive as Doom 3's but are still eye catching.+ Speedy gameplay that features fabulous gunplay and plenty of slimy monsters to kill.+ Wicked physics system that lets you alter the environment and turn the tables on marauding enemies.+ Quality voice acting and a well written story overall.

Half-Life 2 review:
I have seen the wonderful world of Half-Life 2 and I must say it’s spectacular. Last year when the Half-Life 2 for the PC was beating out Halo 2 for Game of the Year awards at a number of publications, I thought I was in another dimension. How can a game like Halo 2 be beat out by a single-player game? With Half-Life 2 coming to the Xbox, I saw what the hub-bub was about. Half-Life 2 makes for one of the greatest gaming experiences I have ever had.

Half-Life 2 review:
Half-Life 2 faithfully captures the excellent single-player gameplay found in last year's hit PC game, but it also suffers from an erratic frame rate and there's no multiplayer.

Half-Life 2 review:
No, I’m not talking about Halo 2. I’m referring to the game that gave Halo 2 a hearty competitor for “Game of The Year.” A game so perfectly crafted that it boggles the mind. I’m talking about Half-Life 2. Released a year ago, Half-Life 2 was to the PC what Halo 2 was to the Xbox. It was the sequel to one of the most popular PC games, Half-Life, and set

In short, when Half-Life 2 is running in 480p on a widescreen display, and is pumped through a 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound setup, it's probably the finest-looking and most atmospheric Xbox game ever made. It truly is a thing of beauty.
