Far Cry Instincts review:
Jack Carver is having a really bad day. First, he has to deal with an annoyingly single-minded woman as a passenger on his tour boat who takes off on his jet ski to explore a strange island, and then his boat is blown to cinders by an assault chopper from said island. So begins Ubisoft’s mighty Far Cry Instincts, and enhanced conversion of 2004’s smash hit PC game by Crytek. If you missed the original version for whatever reason, you’ll be pleased at yet another solid first-person shooter for the Xbox. Fans of the PC version will definitely notice some changes in the level design, visuals and story content, with the latter effectively changing the Xbox version significantly. If you’re a supreme purist, the new plot twist might seem like some form of sacrilege, but just take a few deep breaths, have a Bromo and go clean your 3D card’s fan or something while I review this for the Xbox owners out there.
Far Cry Instincts review:
If you are an FPS freak, or even if you just like being creative with map makers, you will certainly enjoy Far Cry. By adding the cool feral powers, an incredibly expansive map editor and mediocre multiplayer, Ubisoft have created another great step in the series. While it can quickly get tedious and the AI isn't everything we have hoped, it is still definitely worth a look.
Far Cry Instincts review:
At first I feared that the game would be a PC to console port, but thankfully that isn’t really the case. Hopefully this will be one of those titles that gets support on the 360 as far as backwards compatibility is concerned, because I have a feeling I’m going to be playing it for a good long while.
Far Cry Instincts review:
The game also doesn't suffer from frame rate fluctuations either which makes it even more amazing. The Xbox may be coming to the end of its lifecycle, but it’s hard to see 360 getting far ahead of this quickly.Far Cry instincts pretty much is a must own game for Xbox owners. The lengthy storyline will keep you going for some time and the comparisons to Halo in terms of quality are deserved.
Far Cry Instincts review:
For lack of a better descriptor, the sheer arsenal at one's disposal is almost as breathtaking as the sunlight shimmering across the ocean waves which dance in the background during featured firefights. Don't be distracted by the heavenly visuals, though; with adversaries such as snipers, stalkers, scouts, gunmen, and grenadiers hot on your heels, there's little time ...
Far Cry Instincts review:
It's a game packed full of features, and no mistake. But it's the simple contrast between predator and prey which makes it worth playing, whether you're excited by stealth and first person shooters or not.
