Call of Duty 3 isn't just another first-person shooter that takes place during World War II. It's a fantastic game with great online play and top-notch sound.

Call Of Duty 3 review:
Call of Duty 3 is a WWII FPS that, through a seamless narrative, delivers the rush of unrelenting battle and breathtaking action. Assume the roles of four ordinary Allied soldiers—American, British, Canadian and Polish—and are thrust onto an authentic, living battlefield for an unprecedented variety of combat.

A touch of over-familiarity doesn't stop this particular war effort from being enjoyable.

Call Of Duty 3 review:
The Xbox 360 version still has larger levels, more characters onscreen, and significantly better graphics but the current-generation versions are no slouch. This is a markedly better game than Call of Duty 2: Big Red One and the finest World War II gameplay on the current-generation consoles. -- Xbox and PS2 text by Adam Nunez

Call Of Duty 3 preview:
As was the case with the previous games, your best bet is to use the iron sights to aim more precisely, and we noticed a cool depth-of-field effect that slightly blurred the screen when you raised the rifle to your eye. It's a neat little effect, especially when you consider that even a wasted millisecond can mean the difference between life and death.
