There are moments here and there that make the experience decent, but the overall package is lacking. Do yourself a favor and wait for Project Origin rather than picking this up.

The Golden Compass review: If you were hoping to be swept up in the narrative, this game also ignores critical plot points from Philip Pullmanâ€™s brilliant story, leaving much guesswork to the gamer. It pains me to say this, but turn off your TV and just read the book or head to your local theater. This is a story everyone must experience, just donâ€™t try interacting with it.

And get this: in the cooperative multiplayer, you play in split screen â€“ in letterbox format! What were they thinking?
