Sid Meier's Pirates! review:
Having conquered and plundered the high seas of the PS2, Sid Meier and Firaxis have taken on an altogether different prospect in the PSP. Should we throw this overboard, or can Pirates! prevail in handheld form?

Sid Meier's Pirates! review:
The graphics look great on the tiny PSP screen – those update visuals of the recent PC version work really well on the smaller screen. It’s hard to believe that after 20 years a game can still feel fresh and exciting, but Pirates manages both. Anyone seeking depth and longevity should certainly pick up a copy. It’s a great way to spend a short bus journey or a long afternoon.

Sid Meier's Pirates! review:
There’s just enough happening in each facet of pirate life to make it transcend the past days of simplicity, but not so much that you’d rather be playing it on your wide screen TV or monitor. Pirates! on the PSP offers an elegant mix of complexity and simplicity, and it’s unique enough to be considered in a class by itself. -- Ernie Halal

Sid Meier's Pirates! review:
Pirates offers the same great mix of addictive minigames to which we sea dogs have grown accustomed. By fencing famous pirates, raiding rival trade ships, and wooing governor’s daughters, you can turn your swashbuckling buccaneer into one of the most infamous pirates on the open seas.
