Pursuit Force review:
If you’ve been thinking about getting a PSP but haven’t done so yet, March is looking like the month that may help you decide in favor of the unit, as this is the best month to date for "A" titles on the system. One of the excellent games that makes the handheld well worth the cash is Pursuit Force Bigbig Studios’ first (and pretty awesome) foray as a developer. Pursuit Force is lightning fast, looks spectacular and is long enough to keep you on the edge of your seat but short enough not to overstay its welcome. The overall presentation and kinetic energy bursting forth from this UMD grabs you from the moment the game starts and throws you breathlessly right into the action. The breakneck pace and mind-blowing production values make up for the few shortcomings the game has and you’ll be showing it off to your non-PSP owning friends just to see their eyes bug out at the physical and automotive acrobatics and frantic gunplay taking place.

Pursuit Force review:
After getting my hands on the demo I wondered if the chase, kill, chase, kill - repeat as necessary gameplay would remain interesting over the course of an entire game. Now that I’ve played the finished product, I’m still not sure. It’s fun for a good while, but ultimately it needs more variety or an engaging multi-player component to make it enjoyable for more than a few hours.

Pursuit Force review:
The fast paced and varied gameplay, intense soundtrack and attractive visuals should satisfy those looking for a something new and a bit different on their PSP. I'm looking forward to see what BigBig Studios has in the works for the future. -- Jim Cordeira

Pursuit Force review:
There are the helicopter gunner sequences mentioned earlier, underdeveloped but still functional on-foot sections, and boss fights that can be really, really difficult. You're free to skip around from mission to mission, though, and as you earn points you'll be promoted and earn bonuses that help even the odds, like regenerating health and a Robocop-inspired pistol upgrade to your default weapon.

Pursuit Force review:
Pursuit Force's high-risk stunts and brilliant production values are complemented nicely by a gameplay style and structure that feels well-suited for the PSP system.

Pursuit Force review:
The game does a pretty good job of adding in some variety, though the addition of multiplayer would have made this a definite must have. That said it is heavily recommended since the game has a top-notch presentation, great sense of humor, and is one of the few PSP games that you’ll really get something out of if you only have 20 minutes to play.

Pursuit Force review:
+Pursuit Force is a fun popcorn style action game, but it's not enjoyable enough to warrant its $39.99 MSRP.
