PoPoLoCrois review: Regardless you could certainly do worse, and despite its advanced years, loading issues and awkward capitalisation, PoPoLoCrois is a game (scratch that, it's two games in one) that sells itself with its wonderful characters and provides a truly engaging experience. Even if you've only a mild interest in JRPGs, you can't go far wrong.

PoPoLoCrois review: Agetec's turn-based RPG does a decent job of filling in the void of RPGs on the PSP, but ultimately hampared by a non-engaging story.

PoPoLoCrois review: PoPoLoCrois is an awesome game that will satisfy rpg enthusiast with cute graphics, brilliant battle system, and addictive story. I enjoyed this game more than any of this year's rpg lineup.

PoPoLoCrois review: PoPoLoCrois lends itself to being on of the few RPGs available for the PSP and while it may not be a 3D powerhouse, it harkens back to a time when RPGs were simple, easy to follow, and random encounters were plentiful.

PoPoLoCrois review: Although there are only a handful of RPGs on the PlayStation Portable, they’re all worth a look for owners of the genre-starved handheld. Currently, the best of these games is PoPoLoCrois, the Agetec-published reworking of two titles in the legendary Japanese RPG series. The PSP version of these classics switches the order of some events and removes others entirely, yet only those who’ve played the imports will really notice these differences. For those of you more concerned about length, about 30 hours of highly enjoyable gameplay will keep you quite busy indeed. PoPoLoCrois transports players into its gorgeously detailed world packed with plenty of old-school RPG appeal in every second of the game’s running time. One of the best games on the handheld, the rich, colorful 2D graphics and great music do their best to lure you in. Truthfully speaking, you’d have to be a Grade-A sourpuss not to fall in love with what’s here as soon as you fire the game up.

PoPoLoCrois review: PoPoLoCrois is a classic fantasy story featuring brand-new sequences from the animated TV series, new playable adventures, plus exciting battles with rich, vibrant colors and cel-shaded 2D graphics. You’ll be hooked on the delightful characters and animated storyline that is fun for all ages.

PoPoLoCrois review: If AgeTec could have at least hidden or reduced the load times for battles, the game could have received a higher score. If you must own every RPG release this year, then give the game a chance. Otherwise, you can do better and probably should skip PoPoLoCrois all together. -- Chris Laramie

PoPoLoCrois review: Popolocrois is a charming adventure for casual fans of role-playing games, but its simplicity negates any lasting appeal it may have had.

PoPoLoCrois review: Overall this is a very highly anticipated release for RPG fans with PSPs. Hopefully this will be a great chance to introduce the PoPoLoCrois series to North America, as it has only been in Japan, already on their third installment of the series. It's also definitely a fitting game for younger kids, as there are no scantily clad women or bad language to worry parents. - Minna Kim Mazza, Grrlgamer.com
