Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
It is definitely a thrilling collection of old-school favorites, and any die-hard Pac-Man fan should enjoy having this in his/her collection. - Minna Kim Mazza, Grrlgamer.com
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
Games such as Pac Man, Dig Dug, and Galaga need no introduction. However, one of the first things you may notice is the unabashed similarities between games. For instance, you may have fun reliving the good old days in the arcade with Galaga, but you also have similar airplane shooters such as Bosconian and Galaxian clogging the selections. Some games also sport sequels, such as New Rally-X. Many of these games are simply not varied enough to support their inclusion in the game. And some games, such as Tower of Druaga, are simply tedious at best, requiring nearly no skill to play and plenty of patience to wade through the cavalcade of near-identical levels.
Namco Museum Battle Collection preview:
Namco hasn't yet given Namco Museum a US release date, but we'll probably get one around E3 2005, where the classics are sure to make an impact somewhere in their booth. I know you may think that all these games provide are older thrills, and you're partially right, but the games are still fun and that's what's important. Namco Museum should make for a great release on the PSP, dots and all.

Now Namco needs to make a Tekken/Soul Calibur collection and give us some titles with some graphical punch in one shiny package. You've got the ball rolling now Namco, time to take advantage of a good thing.-- Brian Peterson
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
Pac-Man.Even though I can’t relive my life from 20 years ago to exact perfection, I have to admit that I still enjoyed myself, despite the funky controls and start-from-scratch gameplay in games that were once second nature. And I won’t deny that these games would all play better on a big console, but for portable arcade gaming, it doesn’t get any better than Namco Museum Battle Collection.
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
It would be a great purchase even if PSP software weren't so hard to come by these days; as it stands, it's one of the best titles available for the system. I know my copy will certainly be accompanying me wherever I go. Who knows, I might finally even finish Tower of Druaga someday. Only 93 more floors to go....
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
The past meets the future right away, as you can’t actually play these ancient games until you’ve updated your PS firmware. Namco has been nice enough to include this on the game disc, so most people will just install the update and start playing.
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
The only problem is, there's an awful lot of "ghosting" on all the character animations in Rolling Thunder. For some reason, everyone leaves faint images when they move. It's distracting, but your eyes begin to adjust after a bit. This is the only game that features this problem, though, so it seems very out of place when everything else looks so outstanding.
Namco Museum Battle Collection review:
Dating back to releases on the N64, GBA and Dreamcast and numerous volumes on the PS One, in addition to more recent editions on the current-gen consoles, the Namco Museum line of arcade game collections has been the leader when it comes to dealing out classic compilations of terrific quality and value. Scheduled to ship any day now, Namco’s 50th Anniversary Collection will mark the series’ return to the consoles and GBA (there’s a PC version too) in fine fashion, and we’ll be sure to let you know how it turns out, but in the meantime Namco has just released its debut Museum compilation title onto the PSP entitled Namco Museum Battle Collection and it is one bundle of classic gaming goodness (with a touch of new-school spice) that finds a perfect home on Sony’s sexy portable.
