MediEvil Resurrection review: MediEvil: Resurrection is clearly focused on delivering the best single-player experience possible, but the joy of Wireless multiplayer gaming on PSP is not overlooked. An arcade of eight mini-games is available to play one-on-one with a friend or ...

MediEvil Resurrection review: In MediEvil Resurrection, players follow the role of Sir Daniel Fortesque and embark on a journey to defeat the evil Sorcerer Zarok, while interacting with various characters, enemies, weapons, and mini-games that take place in the realm of Gallowmere. In addition, MediEvil Resurrection features wireless multi-player connectivity via ad-hoc mode and the first game to offer "game-sharing.

MediEvil Resurrection review: Movement is a bit erratic though, making fights less planned affairs than they might have been. There is one reasonably impressive aspect, however, and that's the audio. In cut-scenes particularly speech is crystal clear and generally well-acted - in fact the cut-scenes are quite nice all round - and the music is quite pleasing.

MediEvil Resurrection review: On the other hand, the original PSOne title, while lacking the cut scenes, tepid minigames and superlative Tom Baker, goes for around ten bucks on eBay. We're just pointing that out for the purposes of comparison, you understand.

MediEvil Resurrection review: And if you don't have any previous knowledge of the property, all you need to know is that it's a solid, albeit formulaic action game that you should take or leave depending on how important things like story and humor are to you. Love to laugh? Get this game. Just want to play a great action game? Rent, or perhaps look for something else.

MediEvil Resurrection review: The score adds nothing but positives to the mood and taken as a whole, MediEvil Resurrection is easily the best looking and sounding title on PSP to date. The controls might frustrate you a bit, but the total package should keep you happily entertained.

MediEvil Resurrection review: This tale of the comical (and dead) knight starts off brilliantly, but the excitement tapers off when severely hampered by the nasty camera and repetitive action.

MediEvil Resurrection review: While it won’t force anyone to buy a PSP, it’s a great game to help pass the time before the Christmas rush of games. Combining great audio/visual, a clever story, and a nice balance of gameplay, Resurrection is one of the best games currently available on Sony’s handheld.

MediEvil Resurrection review: I can't fully recommend MediEvil Resurrection because of its control issues and the fact that games have evolved past this aged template. However, fans and those looking for a different kind of platformer for the system will have some fun with it. It's a sluggish game, but its brief moments of brilliant designs make it worth a look.

MediEvil Resurrection review: In fact, a lot of Dan's more advanced moves merely look like variations of his more basic moves, which I've found to be just as effective. In addition, Dan can also take advantage of a variety of weapons (20 in total) ranging from wooden swords, crossbows, and clubs.
