Infected puts you in the role of a New York City police officer on a mission to stop a virus from spreading. Planet Moon's first title for the PSP features both a single-player campaign and a wireless multiplayer mode, in which you can spread viruses to other PSPs.
Infected review:
What can you say about a game that bleeds action out of every pore? For a game this entertaining and excruciatingly funny, one would never expect it to be as deep as it is. Cheap thrills abound in mindless slaughter, but dedicated players can always be looking for the next biggest combo or where to infect next. If it weren’t for the single player length, I would proudly proclaim Infected as the PSP’s killer app, but for anyone with a wireless internet connection, you owe it to yourself to take infected for a spin. It will… Dare I say… Infect you! Ha! I’m so damn funny. But seriously, it’s one of the best games on the PSP, a better shooter than even Coded Arms or Battlefront II. Fun is to be had here.
Infected review:
Infected is a thrilling new run-and-gun shooter that allows players' avatars to invade opponents' PSP systems via multiplayer victories. It’s Christmas time in New York City. A strange virus has appeared in the city, turning seemingly normal people into insane, violent Infected.
Infected review:
Yes, it is repetitive and somewhat light on content, and it doesn't really push the PSP's capabilities, but it is also fun and extremely charming (in a dark, twisted way). Anyone that has been looking for a fast-paced, not-too-complex zombie killing game should definitely check out Infected.
Infected review:
Pros:- Fun in short stints- Infecting others over multiplayer is novel- The humour will appeal to some...Cons:- ...but not to others- Targeting system can be a pain- Repetitive missions
Infected review:
Infect the world to save it from oblivion. That's a pretty unique premise behind this surprisingly innovative shooter, and it is a blast to play with your friends.
Infected review:
The controls are great, the action is intense, and the challenge is continually evolving to test your skills and abilities. The relatively short missions are served in bite-sized chunks perfect for handheld gaming. This might not be the best PSP game available, but it certainly is the most addicting.
Infected review:
How good is Planet Moon’s Infected? So good, I’m going to resort to every overused and easy to write cliche I can think of just so I can get back to playing this game some more. Well, not really, but I’ll use a few more than usual. Majesco’s first PSP game is a bloody good time indeed; a great pick up and play blast of fresh air that’s fast-paced, funny as hell and has an innovative multiplayer feature that allows you (and your PSP) to infect the world without having to worry about losing your passport or an airport strip search. The concept is wickedly simple, the controls brilliantly conceived, and this is one of those perfect "on the go" games you’ll keep handy when you’re headed out the door. I don’t know about you, but any game that has an undead Santa Claus rushing to take a chunk out of your skull as you’re about to blow him to bloody kibble is definitely worth playing.
Infected review:
There's a real raw, visceral satisfaction to Infected, which is undermined by a short, single-minded story mode and an ambitious but inherently flawed multiplayer game.
