GripShift review:
GripShift combines high-flying stunt driving and unique puzzle-solving action in an all-out, pedal-to-the-metal racing experience, featuring 6 unique characters in supped-up, customizable vehicles, insane twisting levels, power-ups, traps, races against the clock and multiplayer.

GripShift review:
First of all it’s only available on the PSP and second of all it seems perfect for traveling. Each game takes twenty seconds if that, but the ‘just one more time’ mentality may have you missing you bus or train stop many times over. Gripshift shows us what the PSP can do if developers get creative and look at the system as something other than a portable PS2.

GripShift review:
I really enjoyed playing through Gripshift. It has a great learning curve, slowly reeling you into the incredibly tough later levels, but I guarantee you’ll keep going back to it until you have nailed every one of them. Multiplayer is great, and passes lunchtimes very nicely at work. It really is a perfect game for the platform, and I highly recommend it in your PSP collection.

GripShift review:
Also like Mercury, it's not terribly moreish. It's perfectly enjoyable, and at times the level design is absolutely inspired. But adding more varieties of obstacle doesn't succeed in keeping new levels feeling sufficiently different for seeing what's next to be a motivation, and the unlockables fail to serve that purpose either.

Puzzle racing arrives on the PSP, but it's been done better elsewhere.

GripShift review:
Pros:- Extremely good value for money- An adept puzzle game in vehicular shoes- Track editor is a veritable bonusCons:- Handling is tricky in straight racing- You will die. A lot.- Frontend is fairly offensive (though unobtrusive)

GripShift review:
Nonetheless, it has the feeling of a game that will appeal to people who bask in challengingly unrealistic pursuits like those of Trackmania, Super Monkey Ball and Mercury, and I reckon the PSP could do with a lot more games like it. Buy it if you know what I'm talking about.

GripShift review:
While the unique combination of multiple genres had the potential to create a solid and refreshing title, the poor implementation results in the game being nothing more than an overly repetitive bore that fails to offer any interesting gameplay elements.

GripShift review:
It's refreshing to see a title like GripShift make an appearance on a PSP system that's in dire need of something new and original. While game fans expecting a more traditional racing experience might be a little disappointed in the offbeat gameplay style of GripShift, it still offers up a nice racing-themed game that requires the player to do more than just navigate aimlessly around a race track. There's plenty of challenge found on each track in not only completing each level, but also figuring out exactly how to do it

GripShift review:
While some may play through every track of the title and go on to complete every mini-game that is offered, the casual gamer will most likely play this game for a short while, as it quickly gets monotonous.Worthy of a rent, but not of much more.

GripShift review:
Racers should be a popular choice on the PSP, and this one has fast-paced action with cool features thrown in that falls short in the long run. Fun while it lasted.

GripShift review:
There's a ton of cool content and some great puzzles but it's all weighed down by loose driving controls. If you're looking for some action racing and some interesting challenges the give GripShift a look. For fans looking for decent physics and a more refined driving expereince, you'd be better off checking out Burnout Legends or similar racers out for the PSP now.

GripShift review:
It has been talked about all around the gaming industry for a while now, but I think it’s worth pointing out again that the PSP has mightily suffered from a disappointing post-launch run when it comes to providing a quality library of games. After the portable debuted with some truly spectacular titles, the subsequent months since then have been rather subdued to say the least. With the holiday season fast approaching however, PSP owners are finally starting to see light at the end of the tunnel as some solid original titles are beginning to sprout up. Releasing two completely original PSP IP’s of their own recently, Sony Online Entertainment’s brand new publishing label Platform Publishing is showing that games for the powerful device aren’t always direct ports from console games.

GripShift review:
Stock it full of huge ramps, nitros and loops, and enjoy. GripShift is a fairly unique, enjoyable game, that works well as a handheld title. The difficulty may turn off a lot of gamers, but if you have a bit of patience to spare or are a fan of puzzlers such like Super Monkey Ball, the game can offer many hours of gameplay.-- Jim Cordeira
