Gradius Collection review: The gameplay variance is limited between each title but the nuances of difficulty and execution are just enough to make you want to play through each game in turn - something few contemporary series will be able to boast in 25 years time.

Gradius Collection review: Need further incentive? Think of it this way-- This disc retails for roughly thirty dollars. If you bought the PlayStation and PS2 versions of all of these games individually, at the cheapest possible price, you'd still have to shell out upward of eighty dollars. And you wouldn't even reap the benefits of the new features implemented in the PSP collection!

Gradius Collection review: More than a decade's worth of games from Konami's classic space shoot-'em-up series is contained in this great collection, which offers plenty of intense action, not just nostalgia.

Gradius Collection review: Gradius III, while expansive, is too hard for its own good. Gradius Gaiden is the highlight of the package, a 32-bit extravaganza that has never before hit America. Finally, Gradius IV is a bit of a wannabe, lacking Gaiden's cool innovations and introducing little itself. This time I enjoyed it more than I have previously, though; it's not a bad game, just uninspired.

Gradius Collection preview: Although the feeling that I'm going to break it hasn't quite left yet. Additionally, the graphics are obviously excellent on the little system. The front-end interface is ridiculously beautiful, with high-res graphics, and the in-game graphics are just as good. However, there is some minor color bleeding during some games, but for the most part it's barely noticeable.
