It's a straightforward remake of Koei's cult-favorite rhythm game, but Gitaroo Man still knows how to rock.

Gitaroo Man Lives! review:
Gitaroo Man Lives! is the sequel to 2002's Gitaroo-Man, now optimized for the PSP with ad hoc multiplayer, although no online, and a new Duet mode for co-op or head-to-head play. Gitaroo-Man Lives!'s music and vocals will be provided by well-known Japanese pop stars.

Gitaroo Man Lives! review:
The downside is that it only spans two songs, so all told, this game isn’t much different from its PS2 brother.I couldn’t get enough of playing Gitaroo Man Lives, with its infectious tunes and gameplay, and I think that if you have any soul at all you’ll rock out to this game.

Gitaroo Man Lives! review:
It’s a great package as it is, but you can’t help feel that the KOEI could have done more with the release than a simple remake of the original game. Perhaps we’ll see a true sequel one day, huh? For now though, don’t ignore this title whilst sifting through the generally mediocre lineup of PSP software, Gitaroo Man is a modern classic.

Gitaroo Man Lives! review:
For the right price it's one of the most endearing and unique handheld titles around. You'll love the songs, cackle at the bonkers storyline and dig the glorious riffs - there really is nothing else quite like it.

Gitaroo Man Lives! preview:
There are also a couple of new tracks in the game, although they seem to be only a few, so those who are looking for a complete remake will be disappointed. The game still retains the original multiplayer features and it actually plays quite well. There's minimal lag between machines, and setting up a game is smooth.
