Coded Arms review:
Coded Arms has stunning graphics, plain and simple. It looks like a console shooter on the PSP. Enemies and bosses are very detailed, and much of the environment is destructible. The guns themselves look absolutely fantastic, with looks tailored to their element and purpose. The animations are smooth and fluid, with special attention paid to the function and handling of the gun. Enemies move realistically, and even simple things like electricity and mist effects look great. The only graphical drawback of the game is that some of the textures - Mainly on the walls - look a bit muddy. Other than that, the artistic style fits in very well with the overall game theme, and the models are surprisingly solid. One of the better looking games for the PSP

Coded Arms preview:
Japan has never really been huge on developing high-profile first person shooters, however the developers behind Coded Arms appears to be very determined to create a successful product. Only time will tell, and Advanced-Gamer will let you know of our verdict once the title hits retail shelves.

Coded Arms review:
I’m immensely pleased that someone out there is brave enough to put forth an honest to goodness FPS on the new Sony handheld. For those waiting for just that, don’t be totally dissuaded, because there actually is some cool stuff here. Coded Arms proves it can be done. Now someone just needs to do it right.

The handheld's first FPS is flawed, but not for the reasons you may think.

Coded Arms review:
The menus are filled with matrix like backgrounds and effects that give it a nice theme that goes well with the storyline. While there’s a lot of really good features about this game, it just has a few too many minor problems that hurt it. Hardcore FPS fans, especially old school FPS fans, will enjoy this game, and it should be able to hold them over until the next FPS comes out.

Coded Arms review:
PSP owners may find a passable rental in Coded Arms, but that's about all. The first-person shooter genre may have a bright future on the PSP, but Coded Arms isn't it.

Coded Arms review:
Those looking for a futuristic shooter may be pleased with it if they can overcome the frustrating lack of a dual stick (or mouse and keyboard) control scheme, but everyone else should probably stick with a rental. It's a good showcase for the PSP's visual capabilities, but it's not enjoyable enough to justify paying full price.
