X-Men Legends review:
There have been countless games utilizing the superhero license, and all but a few managed to actually rise above mediocrity. However, once in a while, there is one that raises the bar for what is to be expected. X-Men Legends is a triumphant accomplishment with its blend of intense RPG and two-player co-op beat-em-up action.
X-Men Legends review:
Legends is a very fun game that lets you explore the world of X-Men. You can build up your mutants’ stats, customize your team, and utilize a number of different mutant abilities for each mutant. The graphics have a nice comic look to them that is pleasing at most times. Fans will absolutely love the game, but I also recommend others to give it a try.
X-Men Legends review:
Stan Lee has gone insane. That's okay with us since the man did invent a menagerie of superheroes loved the world over. He even managed to create a super troupe of mutant's that dealt with the nature of prejudice that didn't suck. Although initially nothing more than a cult success, the X-Men has now become Marvel's second largest franchise. X-Men rules excelsior! Now Ultimate X-Men, the modern reiteration of the comic that sees the characters as younger and therefore sexier mutants gets translated to a videogame that takes the action RPG ideology of titles like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and injects it with the X-Factor.
X-Men Legends review:
Activision appears to be on a real winner with the Marvel License. After creating a quality Spiderman 2 game based on the movie for consoles, they showed that movie games are not necessarily going to be relegated to the bargain bins around the place. However the licence also extends to the comics which marvel produce and this is where their latest title has come from. X-Men Legends is based on the comic and Raven Software has come up with one of the best RPG games for the Playstation 2 console and one of the best games released this year in X-Men Legends.
X-Men Legends review:
The popular X-Men franchise is known throughout the world as one of the most excellent comic book series ever created. Being one of the many flagship series of the famous Marvel comics, everyone’s favorite group of mutants has seen their share of media incarnations over the years, such as TV shows, movies, and video games. In terms of video games, few developers have ever managed to capture correctly the unique and fantastic aspects of the comic books, leaving a handful of seemingly mediocre X-Men games. That is, until now, as developers Raven Software has finally given the X-Men series a video game it deserves. X-Men Legends is an RPG dungeon crawler alike to that of Baulder’s Gate, and while it does contain its fair share of shortcomings, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable title with a surprising amount of depth.
