 WWE Smackdown! Here Comes The Pain review:
You watch the show, you buy the game, get the T-shirt and go to the Insurrection events when they come to the U.K – it’s a ‘total package.’ The game on it’s own is great, but only when running alongside the rest of your wrestling experiences. As I’m only here to review the game I say don’t give it the ‘People’s Elbow’ but then again don’t call it a ‘Showstopper.’

The advertised pain has indeed landed on the PS2, but it's a good kind of pain: excellent animation, delightfully well-crafted physiques and an obscene amount of playability all combine to make this a great wrestling simulator. It should be enjoyed by even the most bitter, hate-filled despiser of all things WWE-related, especially if there's a multi-tap and other people in the house.

The only slight niggle in the presentation department is the lack of commentary, but having complained about it in every previous SmackDown game we're actually kind of glad to see it gone.
