Viewtiful Joe deftly delivers a fantastic cel-shaded look while also adding a really great series of unique gameplay twists that make it much, much better than the average side-scrolling action game.
Viewtiful Joe review:
The only thing I can say about Viewtiful Joe is that it is cheesy, but who ever said that cheesy can't be fun?Oh, and on a final note, when you're playing Viewtiful Joe and your VFX meter has completely drained, making you a normal human being and more vulnerable, just remember the words that will restore all of your hope..."Henshin A-Go-Go, Baby!"
Viewtiful Joe review:
Movies have been around for a longer time than most living people. During the last century, they have become an inherent part of our society: you’d have a hard time imagining what life would be like without them.
Viewtiful Joe review:
As games lean increasingly toward po-faced realism, Viewtiful Joe provides a refreshingly irreverent and honest game whose old-school sensibilities prove that old dogs can still learn new tricks. Now that this fantastic game is available on the biggest-selling console - at a budget price, I might add - there really is no excuse for not checking it out. In a word: Viewtiful.
Viewtiful Joe review:
It's the same game, just one year later. But, if you don't own a GameCube, or you didn't grab this game the first time around, you have no good excuse not to get it now. The price is right ($29.99) and the game itself is a testament to all that is good and right about action games. Henshin a Go Go, baby!
Viewtiful Joe review:
After becoming a breakout hit on the GameCube, it comes as no surprise that Capcom would want to make this game available to a wider audience. That brings us to now with the release of Viewtiful Joe for the PS2.
