Tak 2: The Staff Of Dreams review:
It’s genuinely funny without ever bordering on tacky and it really does test anyone who plays it. It’s not quite as good as the usual platform suspects (Ratchet and Clank, Sly 2: Band of Thieves) but at least this platformer makes you really think on occasions, a rare trend in the genre nowadays.

The combat is reasonably well executed, but as in the original there are some unnecessarily tricky parts, and the controls are too loose, which seems to have become a requirement for cartoony licensed products everywhere. It's one step forward, one step back.

The game would have scored higher, but the dodgy camera is still present. Combine this with unrealistic problems in places and stiff competition from the big guns of platforming, who have also rejuvenated the genre, and Tak 2, although a fun and compelling game will find it hard to compete with the big boys.
