Robotech: Invasion review:
The real problem is the bike. It could’ve worked so very well, but it’s depressingly wasted. I would only recommend this as light entertainment that isn’t too taxing or for fans of the Anime of which it originated, but other than that I’d stay pretty clear…
Robotech: Invasion review:
No, Invasion is little more than a routine,seen-it-all-before FPS. For all the imagination, originality and excitement onoffer it could have been written by a robot. The Robotech universe, and you thegamer, deserver a lot better than this. Look elsewhere if you’re after adecent FPS, even if you’re a tattooed, fanzine-editing aficionado of theoriginal series.
Robotech: Invasion review:
Unfortunately, its just not fun like Halo 2 is and you will find yourself wandering before time. I really wanted to like Robotech. The game has some good features, and some nice little changes to the normal, but unfortunately this game is just a bog standard shooter.
Robotech: Invasion review:
There’s been many a moment when sitting back and taking stock of all that I’ve gained with this journalistic career. I’ve met numerous interesting people. People I admire. There have been times that I’ve felt truly blessed as I’ve taken the next big thing for a spin months before the general public. Then Robotech: Invasion came along.
Robotech: Invasion review:
Most of the environments feature NCPs to chat to too. There was the potential for a decent shooter, and although Invasion isn't earth-shatteringly awful it is pretty mundane. Occasionally a new weapon is introduced or the Cyclone gets upgraded, which helps restore interest, but this also brings an unwelcome flow of peaks and troughs. Now we see why Global Star decided on a budget price tag.
Robotech: Invasion review:
Robotech: Invasion is a fun first/third-person shooter with a strong storyline, if a little short. It’s also let down by the poor cyclone handling and the fact that very few people, especially in the UK, know what Robotech is, and will most probably pass up this game because of it.
