Resident Evil 4 review:
Quite possibly the best action-adventure (emphasis on action) title ever made (no, really) and easily the best game of 2005. Fast, violent, and more fun than I should be allowed to have sitting at home by myself. It's like being the lead in your own action-horror movie.

Resident Evil 4 review:
In terms of the enjoyment I personally derived from playing RE4, I honestly couldn’t say I’d rate it as more than 8/10, but at some level it seems a tad unfair to give it that. So, donning my objective hat, I guess I’d have to go for 9/10 as a final score. It is a very good game… although my head says that more convincingly than my heart.

The game itself will last you more than 20 hours, and with the extra content and hidden extras, you'd be doing yourself a big favor if you went out and bought the game as soon as possible.

If you haven't bought this game for the GameCube you'd have to be out of your mind to pass this one up. If you've already played it on the GameCube then you may or may not want to pick this one up again on the PS2 for the bonus material. Either way I highly recommend Resident Evil 4.

Resident Evil 4 review:
The game has levels, but it also has overall chapters. Levels can end at any given point, however chapters usually end when something major happens. The game has five chapters, and each chapter has around 3 to 5 levels. The enemies are not zombies in Resident Evil 4, they are something else. They act like zombies more or less, but they still have a certain human ...

Resident Evil 4 review:
With the original release of Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube earlier this year, Capcom’s long overdue reinvention of its trend-setting Resident Evil survival-horror franchise turned out better than anyone ever imagined. It’s innovative new camera perspective, twist-filled plot, pants-wetting intensity, visceral and downright frightening atmosphere and drop-dead gorgeous graphics, to name but a few of its winning qualities, blew everyone away and somehow managed do fulfill and actually exceed its lofty pre-release expectations, earning the first and only perfect 10 rating we here at BonusStage have ever awarded any game. A little over 10 months have passed since then, and after nearly a year of eager anticipation Resident Evil 4 has finally stormed onto the PlayStation 2. Upon first hearing that a PS2 port was indeed on the way, fans and industry analysts alike watched with grave concern and skepticism as to just how Capcom planned to squeeze one of this generation’s most technically robust games onto the aging PS2 hardware without losing what made the original such a masterpiece. Well I’ll tell you right now, you can squelch those concerns because, like Half-Life 2’s recent trek from the PC to the Xbox, Resident Evil 4’s port to the PS2 is a shining achievement of unthinkable proportions.

Resident Evil 4 review:
If you've never played a survival horror game and like action with mood, RE4 will be refreshing. If first person shooters and other action games leave too much to be desired when it comes to story, pace and atmosphere, RE4 will be refreshing. In so many ways, Resident Evil 4 is refreshing and shouldn't be missed. -- Ernie Halal

Resident Evil 4 review:
That Capcom has delivered a huge pile of excellent extras into the bargain and done such a sterling conversion job makes it nigh on essential. If the idea of 20 hours of palpitating living nightmares sounds like your idea of fun, then you have no choice but to part with your cash immediately. If only all videogames were this brilliant.

Aside from a few technical differences, the PS2 translation of RE 4 carries over all of the amazing gametime that was had with it's older GameCube bretheren.

Resident Evil 4 review:
+ Still remains a haunting experience to go through, especially for the boss battles in themselves. The best Resident Evil yet.+ While taking a slight hit in quality, the audio is still stirring, especially when you've got yelling citizens...and then the roar of a chainsaw.+ Gameplay takes a little adjusting to, as it seems slightly loose, but still works just fine.

Resident Evil 4 review:
Other than that, it runs well, even if players don't have a killer rig to run the game in Pro Logic II. A decent TV will capture the crisp sound effects, garbled Spanish, and explosions regardless. No matter what, you will have the crap scared out of you should you sequester yourself in a dark room to play, which I did for roughly three days.

Resident Evil 4 review:
Likewise, those who did play through the game for the GameCube should not use that as an excuse not to experience it again, if only to play through Separate Ways, which is alone at least as long as most previous Resident Evil titles. This is a terrific game in every way, and it belongs in any player’s gaming library.
