Odin Sphere review:
There's really no excuse to skip out on Odin Sphere, unless you've got no job or Playstation 2, but then I would suggest that you get a job or buy a console to play it on. Had it come out earlier it really could have been one of those killer apps, but instead it's going to remain a cult hit of the 2D games we won't see very many of for a long time. -- Aaron Vaughn

Odin Sphere review:
However the game they clothe fails to engage in a similar way. While the immediacy of the action will grab all comers right from the off - the simplest of button inputs resulting in exciting explosions of action on-screen - the repetition, made worse by the game's difficulty and drawn out length, ensures that few who start on this adventure will ever finish it.

Odin Sphere review:
Fantastic artistic design fuses with addictive gameplay to form a world that constantly impresses, despite some repetition and technical shortcomings. Odin Sphere is in the same league as games like Shadow of the Colossus and Killer 7; it isn’t perfect, but it delivers an experience you just won’t find anywhere else.

Odin Sphere preview:
Managing an all-too-limited inventory, not so much, but even that has ways around it. At this point, it's looking like Odin Sphere will have to ship with flesh-eating bacteria in order to avoid being one of the best PS2 games this year.
