Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
I never thought I would call fountains of blood a "beautiful sight" until I played this game. If you are a fan of the series, you will love this game. If you aren't a fan of the series, you will still love this game for all of its creativity. If you just love fighting games period, then this is the game for you, because, again I say, this is easily the best fighting game I have ever played.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
When it comes down to it, Mortal Kombat: Deception is an good fighting game elevated by its fluid visuals, unique modes (for a fighting game anyway) and superb implementation of online play, which easily elevate it to great status. Unfortunately, the poorly implemented Konquest mode keeps the game from soaring too high.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
Tedious 2D fighting game and Tekken purists will despise Defiance, but they can go back to living in 1992 and let the rest of us eviscerate in peace. After all; nothing says ‘I love you’ like being impaled by a pair of three foot blades.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
Deception certainly offers variety, but spreads itself far too thinly. An improved arcade mode would have been more welcome but Deception is a brave attempt at diversification nonetheless, especially for a series with such an established formula. Savage karnivores may still enjoy this bloody-rare slab of fighting beef, but genre gourmets should look elsewhere.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
This game is possibly one of the best fighting games of the year, and arguably the best fighting game of the series. The innovationsin this game are numerous and each of them are very influential to the whole Mortal Kombat system and in a positive way.For fighting game fans, and or fans of very gory games, this one can't be missed.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
An innovative new adventure where no other fighting game has explored, Konquest will attract your attention for sure. I recommend this game to any fans of the series as well as fans of the genre. Although some modes will be tough for you button mashers, you might find a few features to your liking as well.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
Deception’s plot picks up at the end of DeadlyAlliance’s, with Shang Tsung and Quan Chi defeating Raiden in hand-to-hand combat. But before either of them can take control of the Dragon King’s undead army, they start fighting each other, and then the Dragon King himself, Onaga, shows up.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
Two years and plenty of suggestions later, Midway has revived the Mortal Kombat arcade fighter franchise with another huge success in Mortal Kombat: Deception for the Playstation 2. Taking place right after MK: Deadly Alliance ended, Deception takes the player through multiple game modes including a longer and in-depth RPG(Konquest mode) that has incredible replay value as well as rock’em sock’em action. More moves, more fatalities, more characters, more mini-games, and the addition of online play make this game just shy of excellent and worth a look.

Mortal Kombat: Deception review:
We all love blood and gore. In our desensitized society, we crave to see someone getting their head ripped off and plunged onto a spike, or even see someone flailing inside a meat grinder begging for mercy while their skin is ripped from the bone. Sure, those descriptions are pretty graphic by some standards, but when you are talking about a game like Mortal Kombat, you can’t expect much more of the discussion. Boon and Tobias’ gift to the world has evolved into a worldwide phenomenon that has transcended everything people expected. Now, with Mortal Kombat: Deception, Midway and the boys at hand have taken the game further than you can possibly imagine, and it pays off.
