+ An abundance of options and special features to toy around with including King of the Diamond and Rivalry mode.+ Fantastic gameplay that features new animations, batting options, solid pitching, and the new Batter's Eye function that enables you to get a first person perspective of the field, though you cannot actually bat while in this view. + One of the best online games on PlayStation 2.

MLB '06: The Show review:
The only thing that excites me more is to see what 989 can pull off with the PlayStation 3 and its next generation power. For now, the game of baseball is represented perfectly in MLB 06: The Show, and not only is this a candidate for best baseball game of the year, but possibly best sports game as well. -- Brian Peterson

MLB '06: The Show review:
Only time will tell how it will stand up to the competition, but for right now it stands shoulder to shoulder with Major League Baseball 2K6 as one of only two baseball games on the market. It’s not perfect, but this game is far and away the best offering from the franchise yet.

Why hasn't someone thought of keeping long-term stats between two users before? Guys in dorms, neighbors, and siblings are going to love this. Yes, you have to stick with the same teams through the entire series (up to 80+ games), but it's all about stats and bragging rights. I wish I had something like this when I was a kid, playing NES RBI Baseball with my best friend every weekend.
