Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects review: For that reason, we can't even recommend it to Marvel fans, frankly. And even if you're a beat-em-up fan, you should steer clear too. Imperfect isn't the word for it.

Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects review: Everyone else will find the game growing stale after a weekend rental. What hurts Marvel Nemesis the most is the build up and hype that surrounded the game before it was released. I think gamer’s expectations were way too high on this one. In the end, Marvel Nemesis isn’t a bad game by any means, but it is far from perfect. -- Brian Peterson

Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects review: It doesn’t have a riveting story, it’s easy, the gameplay is stale and shallow – in short, and it offers nothing new. If you’re a Marvel fan, or you enjoy spending a few hours running around smashing buttons wreaking havoc on baddies, you might get a good weekend out of The Imperfects, but more discerning gamers will be better served to look elsewhere.

Marvel Nemesis: Rise Of The Imperfects review: And, with over 170 different cards available in the game, players will have plenty to work with to come up with just the right combination for each of the game's eighteen fighters. While this does help alleviate some of the balance issues in the game, it's still akin to putting a band-aid on a sucking chest wound.
