Magna Carta : Tears Of Blood review: The Magna Carta aimed to limit the power of the king. Of RPGs with overblown production values, galaxy-wide spider-web narratives, protagonists of indistinct sex and abundantly irritating characterisation, Final Fantasy is still King and this chartered framework does absolutely nothing to impinge its power.

Magna Carta : Tears Of Blood review: Magna Carta: Tears of Blood is originally a Korean RPG for the PC released some years ago, now converted to the PS2. The thing that got me curious about this game was the character art, otherwise I knew very little of it. - Lania S., Grrlgamer.com

Magna Carta : Tears Of Blood review: (Try imagining a Final Fantasy V or VI with 3D graphics and you'll get an idea of what in store in Magna Carta: Tears of Blood). It's too bad that a great concept like this turned out to be way, way too short of its true potentials. Magna Carta: Tears of Blood may look great in pen and paper, although still enjoyable; it is marred by numerous flaws.

Magna Carta : Tears Of Blood review: With Atlus already releasing four of my favorite RPGs within the past year in Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 and Stella Deus, my expectations were sky high for their latest RPG release, Magna Carta: Tears of Blood. After seeing it debut and win our Sleeper Hit award at E3 this year, Magna Carta’s meshing of a Final Fantasy-style approach to epic art direction and production values along with Atlus’ propensity to deviate from the norm I was in can’t-wait mode thereafter all the way up until the game just recently dropped on retail shelves. Unfortunately, as much as it pains me to say this, Magna Carta has turned out so utterly sub par and disappointing, even to a hardcore RPG gamer such as myself, that I’m almost at a loss for words. To help me express my pain for the sake of this review though, Senior Editor Greg Wilcox has joined me, Senior Staff Writer Matt Litten, for a little back-and-forth review discussion on just what went wrong with Atlus’ latest RPG effort
