Jak 3 review:
To answer my own question, Jak 3 certainly does wrap this series up properly. It is an excellent final chapter to one of my fondest gaming memories. Fans of the series will have no reason for not already owning this one, and newcomers should wet their appetite with this and then jump back to the original purely for the story. To me, this one is a no-brainer.

Who actually needs me to tell them what kind of a game Jak 3 is? For those of you who actually said, “Me,” I will explain (for all two of you). Jak 3 is the third...

Jak 3 review:
Offering a range of different weapons, vehicles abilities, Jak 3 proves to be more than your average platforming title. Fans of the previous games will find a lot of love in the latest, and possibly final game of the series. If you are a fan of the platforming genre, you owe it to yourself to experience a fine title.

Jak 3 review:
It has so much variety, and each style is perfected. There is definitely a little bit of something for everyone, and this is a game not to be missed. I strongly recommend this trilogy to any gamer (Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Jak 3). Although the first one is a pure platformer, it’s still a very fun game, and is the beginning of the adventures of Jak and Daxter.

Jak's at it again, and once again he's kinda angry. We take a look at a land of wastelands, gravity defying buggys and Eco.

Jak 3 review:
It seems like only a year ago that Naughty Dog released the second game in the Jak & Daxter series. Hang on a minute - it was bloody well only a year ago! That kind of quick turnaround on a platform game doesn't usually bode well for innovation, and indeed, if there's one big criticism to be leveled at Jak 3, it's that it really is more of the same, with a particular emphasis on vehicle-based missions and the same old problems that hit the second game in the series, especially when it comes to wildly spiraling difficulty levels. Overall, it's actually not a hard game to complete, and with a lifespan of anything between ten to fifteen hours, it's also somewhat on the short side. Gamers who want to see how the trilogy of titles finally resolves itself will get a fair amount of both fun and frustration out of Jak 3, but for many other gamers you won't get more than about 20% into the title without starting to feel just a tad bored. It's not that Jak 3's a bad game per se; it's just a title that really struggles to stand out in any really memorable way.

Jak 3 review:
Over the last few years the guy's over at Naughty Dog have been very busy taking what at first was more of a childish platforming game and now transforming it over the last few years into a much more serious action platformer. It all started with the first great platformer for the PS2 in Jak and Daxter, and then moved onto the excellent Jak 2. Now ready for their third installment wouldn't you know it, it's called Jak 3 and its now out for the PS2. Is the third time the charm? Read our jam-packed review to find out!

Jak 3 review:
Last year, Naughty Dog seriously overhauled their Jak and Daxter series when they released Jak II, the second part of the planned trilogy. What was so surprising with Jak II was how much darker and generally more mature the game was compared to the lighthearted romp that was The Precursor Legacy. The sequel introduced a ton of great new features to the franchise -- an open-ended world somewhat akin to a Grand Theft Auto title, cool guns and vehicles, Dark Jak special powers, and a shockingly in-depth story that could hold its own with the top games on the market. With such a solid base in place, the developer instantly began working on the final chapter to the Precursor trilogy, expectedly entitled Jak 3, and after only a yearlong development cycle the series’ finale is now at hand.

Jak 3 review:
When last we saw Jak and his pal-turned-Ottsel, Daxter, they had just finished saving Haven City from the tyrannical Baron Praxis and stopped the Metal Head creatures from turning the town into a smoldering pile of rubble. That’s all just a faint memory now, as Jak 3 start off with Jak’s exile into the Wasteland.

Jak 3 review:
We've found life in the desert. We've learned why Sig was in Haven City. We've found out who's behind the latest Metal Head incursions. We've met the precursors. We've unmasked Mar. After nearly 40 hours in front of Naughty Dog's trilogy of PS2 platformers, we have said goodbye to Jak and Daxter, and although the developer insists that it hasn't closed the door on the multi-million-selling duo, it's difficult to see how any further tales from Jak's world could muster the same gravitas. There are no more mysteries. This is the end. And it's not quite the end we expected.

Jak 3 review:
As eager as developers are to churn out sequels to successful games, few have any kind of real narrative structure beyond “The bad guy is at it again!” or “Oh no, a new bad guy!” Naughty Dog’s Jak and Daxter series, however, manages to weave a delightful story through all three iterations of its franchise, with real character development and a plot that experiences all the peaks and valleys that you would expect to find in well known trilogies in cinema and literature.
