GrimGrimoire review:
The main campaign will last at least sixteen hours, probably over twenty, the only shame is that there's no online play. There's not a lot about in strategy games on the consoles right now, unless you're into the Final Fantasy Tactics type of games, which means that if you're into strategy and without a PC to play the latest and greatest then Grimgrimoire is a worthy substitute.

GrimGrimoire review:
Difficulty is introduced by sheer numbers and, for players who aren't grabbed by the core mechanics, the game will soon become tiresome. But the combination of sumptuous 2D art style, interesting structure, enjoyable storyline and ever more unmanageable fights to tackle, for those who are, GrimGrimoire will be one of the most interesting games to come out of Japan in some time.

GrimGrimoire review:
It's not a terribly DEEP game, but it is one that I enjoyed and seemed to be something I'd recommend to rent to people. Hopefully, more of Vanillaware's future titles are as enjoyable (though, maybe a bit longer) as this one.-- Joe Kerr

GrimGrimoire review:
Almost all the way around, GrimGrimoire is a great game. Anyone who is a fan of RTS games should pick this up or at least give it a try. Hours will be spent on playing through the story and bonus missions and almost every detail is carefully considered, from the graphics and sounds to the balancing of the different enemy forces. The game is just plain worth it. -- Chris Laramie

GrimGrimoire review:
The constant surprises and shocking reveals throughout comprise some of the best storytelling so far this year in games.Somewhat shallow combat and clumsy controls keep GrimGrimoire’s gameplay from shining. Its novelty value and clever plot are worth checking out, though, if you’re willing to forgive some mediocre battles.
