 Grandia III preview:
It's unfortunate that despite the vastness showcased in some of these places, the player is restricted to a linear path, that sometimes branches off, but never allows for the full exploration of any environment. Nonetheless, it all looks quite beautiful. Backed by a wonderful, sweeping soundtrack and likable characters, Grandia III will be well worth your money when it releases in a couple weeks.

Grandia III preview:
Grandia III is the newest title in Game Arts' role-playing series, using an all-new engine, N3, allowing for larger and more detailed environments. In Grandia III you play as Yuuki, a 16-year-old boy who dreams of being a pilot. When Yuuki meets Alfina, an elven shaman who can talk to holy beasts, he gets involved in a mission to find her brother Emilious, who turned evil and wants to conquering the world.

Time your attacks correctly and you can sometimes prevent the enemies from taking a single swing.Another key element comes in the aerial combos. Certain attacks can send enemies soaring (complete with a helpful altitude readout), and hitting them while they're airborne leads to massive damage. Finish them off in this state and you'll get bonus money and even a shot at rare items.
