Grandia III review: The underrated Grandia RPG series gets its third game, and wows us with its engaging story, superbly involving battles and sleek visuals.

Grandia III review: Sadly, it doesn’t even come close to second best.
Game Informer reviews 88%
Grandia III review: The only major flaw in this game’s design is the miniscule number of monster types that traffic each zone. Grandia III’s beauty never ceases to amaze, but above all, this game just grips you with its winsome storytelling. There are plenty of great stories in role-playing games, but few have as much personality as Grandia III.

Grandia III review: This time around, SquareEnix is publishing the game and maybe hardcore Squenix fans will buy GIII for this fact only. Then there are the hardcore Grandia fans, that I'm sure will buy it with no questions asked and maybe these two groups can do that and live happily ever after. For the rest of the gamers out there, I suggest you find plenty of info on the game before you decide. - Lania S., Grrlgamer.com

Grandia III review: Grandia III is the newest title in Game Arts' role-playing series, using an all-new engine, N3, allowing for larger and more detailed environments. In Grandia III you play as Yuuki, a 16-year-old boy who dreams of being a pilot. When Yuuki meets Alfina, an elven shaman who can talk to holy beasts, he gets involved in a mission to find her brother Emilious, who turned evil and wants to conquering the world.

Grandia III review: Grandia III isn't quite as long-lived as other games in its genre, but a lively cast and great gameplay help this RPG hold up well.

Grandia III review: Vibrant, colorful, vast(-looking)... Grandia III is quite the sight. It's too bad the music doesn't stand out likewise. While it has some good tracks that hearken back to the past games, far too many are about as generic as aspirin. Voices are pretty good, however. A bit B-grade anime dubbish, but they get the job done.
PSX Extreme previews
Grandia III preview: It's unfortunate that despite the vastness showcased in some of these places, the player is restricted to a linear path, that sometimes branches off, but never allows for the full exploration of any environment. Nonetheless, it all looks quite beautiful. Backed by a wonderful, sweeping soundtrack and likable characters, Grandia III will be well worth your money when it releases in a couple weeks.
