Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas review:
So this game is awesome. If you haven’t played it by now (or at least one of the other GTAIII’s) then you probably don’t have electricity and have no way of even reading this review. This game has style, and it’s a must play. It was my first go with the GTA series and not already being spoiled by GTAIII and Vice City I was able to play this game with a completely fresh point of view.

I am still playing San Andreas and enjoying every minute of it. If you're not a big GTA fan, I would say that you should rent it and give it a shot. Since you don't have just one set path to choose from, you will be amazed at the difference in gameplay. This is definitely a keeper for those of you who like involving games with a lot of variety.

It's betterthan Vice City and also beats my precious gem that was GTA3 aswell, soit's definitely a must have game for anyone's PS2 collection. It's overflowing with flaws, and it seems as if many professional opinions out there are by-products of the game's immense hype. And hype is precisely the reason why I waited this long to review the game. I wasn't going to make another Vice City mistake; so once it sank in I knew where I stood regarding San Andreas. Hopefully not too many feathers were ruffled, since they make me sneeze.

Rockstar’s ultra-popular Grand Theft Auto series has become the most controversial in all of gaming in the last few years with the releases of Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City. The explicit content, along with the sandbox gameplay that lends itself towards committing serious crimes and heinous acts of violence, has drawn major attention from outside of the industry, leaving itself open to harsh criticisms from certain government officials and striking fear into the hearts of overprotective parents everywhere. With that being said, the latest iteration to the GTA series is now available to the masses. Garnering incredible hype since its announced development, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas had seemingly insurmountable expectations to meet. But after being drawn into this game like no other game in the series beforehand, I think it is safe to say that San Andreas has in fact met its expectations, maybe even surpassing them along the way.

No matter how much Rockstar trickled information out during the year, you will still find things they did not mention. Things that will completely blow your mind, especially if you have played through GTA3 in Liberty City. So why is this game on track for 2004 PS2 game of the year, and possibly game of the year?
