God Of War review:
God of War is a challenging action-packed game, beautiful cinematics, awsome music, great voice acting and an outstanding storyline. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. Even if you're in it just for the boobs. - Didi Cardoso, Grrlgamer.com

God Of War review:
But the satisfaction in having completed this amazingly theatrical adventure is enough to make it worthwhile. Rent it, beat it, enjoy every painstaking hour that went into creating it and if you decide it's a must-buy then by all means buy it and tell your friends just how wrong I am.

God Of War review:
A greater variety of 'fatalities' would have been nice, although it's not vital to use them every single time. There are a few tricky parts, such as having to climb a spinning pillar covered in spikes, but fortunately the save points are sensibly spaced. And when you finally reach the top, there's a fistful of weaklings to let your aggression out on.

They’re in crates, coffins, and basically any environmental structure that you can destroy, so be sure to get as much as you can. You can even get some red orbs in the sex mini-game, yep that’s right, sex, this game is not for minors!Note: you can’t actually see any sex in motion, just a lot of sound during, and ...

This is one slick action adventure title that you shouldn't really miss - sure you fight in pretty much every room, but that didn't stop games like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden being great games. Go buy God Of War now.>Visit the awesome GoW website here

God Of War review:
No one said it wasn't challenging; in fact it's one of the few games that's about as challenging as you want it to be, rather than how the game wants it to be. In fact, if you repeatedly get your arse kicked, the game even offers to drop the skill level down for you, in another nod to the Capcom ethics of game design. You might well thank them for it, too.

God Of War review:
It not only deserves to become part of any gamer's (not just PS2 owners') collection in the immediate future, but will be held aloft as one of the true greats of this generation. It's not often a game just comes along and floors the competition, but that God Of War does so in such breathtaking style is incredible. For the love of God, buy it.

God Of War review:
The gameplay is gripping and the story is so good, my wife wouldn’t let me play through the end of the game without her present. Playing through it is now one of my fondest gaming moments. I can remember specific encounters all throughout the game like it was a part of my past. All in all, what I’ve written here can’t do it justice. Find a way to play God of War. -- Travis Dwyer

God Of War review:
Three years ago, David Jaffe (known for his Twisted Metal fame) decided upon the idea of creating something new and fresh for the gaming world. He said, "Let’s make an action game unlike any action game before it". What Jaffe had in mind was bringing a revolution to the genre, and in God of War, we can say he succeeded with flying colors. Mixing Greek mythology with game elements from other franchises, God of War is a solid title that offers more than you can wrap your behemoth-sized jaws around. We decided to get everyone in on this review, since this game has been on our most wanted list consistently for the past three years, and finally, here’s what we (Josh Williams and Matt Litten) thought about the final product.

It has raised the bar and raised our expectations of what an action/adventure title can be. This is one instance where the inevitable copycats from other developers will not only be welcome, they are highly encouraged.

Like a lightning bolt hurled from Olympus, Sony’s God of War has jolted PS2 action fans to life. The game’s fighting engine may not be as complex as some, but the incredibly satisfying gameplay, cinematic presentation and smart mechanics more than make up for it.

God Of War review:
Kratos is an ex-Spartan soldier possessed by Ares, the God of War. Over time, he becomes the most vicious warrior in Ancient Greece to a point where he can't bare it anymore and sets out on a journey to kill Ares. However, the only way to destroy Ares is to find Pandora's Box, which is located in a temple that's perched upon a hill and guarded by traps, puzzles, enemies, etc.

God Of War review:
But the true depth of the story seems to kick in at the perfect time, as does the games checkpoint and save system. Though you are still restrained by a typical save point system, don’t expect an unfair Devil May Cry-like shortage of them. The save points are located fairly, and are cushioned by about two check points-which you respawn from if you die-in between.
