In this strange music rhythm game, you play Gitaroo-Man as you go against various music themed villains. The game puts a new twist on music games as you not only have to time button presses but you have to move the analog stick around in a radar circle to follow a line that passes through the center point. You can play up to 4 players using the multitap and choose from a variety of characters, songs, and locales.
Gitaroo-Man review:
As is usually the case, longevity is an issue here with only eleven levels to rock your way through, but the Versus mode is really quite a hoot when you've got an hour or so to kill after the pub. It's not going to be to everybody's tastes, but if you're a fan of Parappa and the like then you could do a lot worse than to pick up this charming example of rhythm-action.
Gitaroo-Man review:
Surely good fun for a couple of nights, but once you've got the controls down, you'll progress through the game at an alarming rate. I would have preferred more of a challenge, as I'm sure the thousands of fans who were disappointed by PaRappa 2 would have done too, especially at full price. A missed opportunity.
