Sadly, the multiplayer features the same problems located in the game’s messy single player.When all is said and done, Get on da Mic fails at just about everything it sets out to do. Eidos and developer A2M should have delayed this game by several months to work out all the functionality problems. Get on da Mic is just another reminder that you can’t spell “crap,” without “rap.”

Individually, any of those problems could be forgiven. Taken together, they make it tough to recommend this game to longtime fans of rap and hip-hop. For casual fans though, and for those people that just want another music or party game to bring into the house, Get On Da Mic actually isn’t so bad.

Take one part Sony Singstar, a helping of homeboys and add a selection old-school rap tunes and what do you get? Well, we're not entirely sure but it certainly isn't a decent videogame. Trying to cash in on the success of previous karaoke titles, Eidos makes an attempt to 'get on da scene' with its hip hop/rap take on the genre, Get On Da Mic.
