From Russia With Love review:
A regrettably lackluster adaptation of one of the great James Bond films. Bad control mechanics, poorly designed levels, and no martinis. Bad, bad, and just plain sad.

Retro James Bond action voiced by the very best Bond of them all, Sean Connery...

From Russia With Love review:
Only the multiplayer, while no match for the classic glory of the N64 GoldenEye, excels beyond the largely ignored online mode of the previous title. Even with the man who created the 007 persona back in the starring role, this sequel just can’t measure up to the standards of excellence set by the Bond films or by the action game genre in general.

From Russia With Love review:
From Russia With Love is an entertaining, albeit unoriginal eight hour action game. Anyone nostalgic for the glory days of the Bond film franchise will love the inclusion of a classic film as well as the return of Sean Connery. However, it doesn’t try anything new, multi-player stinks, it’s too linear, and it’s too easy, so it’s not worth more than a rental.

EA has made sure that the vicarious 007 shennanigans are present, just maybe not as strong as they should be.

+ Looks very classy, emulating the look of the movie right down to the old-school designs.+ Connery sounds perfect yet again, despite his age, and the rest of the audio works wonders for the Bond experience.+ Controls are very good, right up there with 007: Everything Or Nothing.

EA's take on Bond's classic adventure is a game of enjoyable moments that are, unfortunately, far too easy to breeze through.

" In a typical level, you'll have your combat driving skills tested just as much as your sniping skills. It ups the ante in the tension department. Just when I thought I was finished with a level after doing some particularly hairy missile-firing from my vintage Aston Martin, I'm told I have to make my way through an enemy compound -- on foot -- to destroy a tank.

Retro-style, respectable, but a touch shallow, this RPG-light is for the casual gamer only.
