Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
It's certainly worth a try if you're a fan of the franchise but I don't think it's of high enough calibre to even turn the heads of the DMC hardcore. Still the game is quite lengthy and there's plenty to get your teeth into.... Oh come on - you didn't think I'd manage to go the whole length of the review without a cheesy vampire quip did you?

In other words, it's good at what it's doing, but we'll all have a right to be hacked off with them if in a few years time the 2D stuff vanishes completely and all that remains is another Curse of Darkness.

Final words, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness comes with additional features in gameplay from its predecessor Lament of Innocence, but still there is a feeling of repetitive gameplay. The game still lack in real difficulty itself due to the overpower of Innocent Devils introduced in this release. You should try to rent it first, before you go and buy this game.

The Innocent Devils are enjoyable enough to tinker with and the semi-RPG elements add the promise if a reward for playing through. If you don’t mind killing endless waves of zombies, orcs, and all manner of lesser demon, then this game is probably for you.

The new devil forging and innocent devils are interesting, and combined with some excellent music and voiceovers; Curse of Darkness is saved from total mediocrity, but not by much. If the Castlevania series is going to flourish in 3D, there are serious issues that have got to be resolved.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
This is the primary means by which you'll upgrade your weapons and armor, and it lends the game an undeniably addicting quality. Also, you learn to steal items from enemies at an early stage in the game, and of course, some of the rarest components can only be stolen from some of the most difficult-to-pilfer-from enemies. The men and women behind Castlevania certainly know what they're doing.
