Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
A solid Action/Adventure game that would have benefited from pushing a little further beyond what was done by its predecessor.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
It's certainly worth a try if you're a fan of the franchise but I don't think it's of high enough calibre to even turn the heads of the DMC hardcore. Still the game is quite lengthy and there's plenty to get your teeth into.... Oh come on - you didn't think I'd manage to go the whole length of the review without a cheesy vampire quip did you?

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
In other words, it's good at what it's doing, but we'll all have a right to be hacked off with them if in a few years time the 2D stuff vanishes completely and all that remains is another Curse of Darkness.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
Castlevania is one of the longest running series of games and in most cases, they are good games. Not bad for being around for almost 20 years. Too bad this one doesn't do the series justice. - Megan Parker, Grrlgamer.com

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
Final words, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness comes with additional features in gameplay from its predecessor Lament of Innocence, but still there is a feeling of repetitive gameplay. The game still lack in real difficulty itself due to the overpower of Innocent Devils introduced in this release. You should try to rent it first, before you go and buy this game.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
The Innocent Devils are enjoyable enough to tinker with and the semi-RPG elements add the promise if a reward for playing through. If you don’t mind killing endless waves of zombies, orcs, and all manner of lesser demon, then this game is probably for you.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
The new devil forging and innocent devils are interesting, and combined with some excellent music and voiceovers; Curse of Darkness is saved from total mediocrity, but not by much. If the Castlevania series is going to flourish in 3D, there are serious issues that have got to be resolved.

Castlevania: Curse Of Darkness review:
Curse of Darkness introduces players to an entirely new storyline and main character – Hector, one of two Devil Forgemasters, who had once refined his skills under Dracula. Told in true Castlevania style, this action-packed tale of betrayal and revenge takes players on a journey through an expansive world filled with formidable foes and beautifully rendered environments to the ruins of Dracula's castle.
